Welcome to the St Oswald’s Ultra Race Series

On 20th September 2014 the inaugural St Oswald’s Ultra took place and offered a 50km, 100km and a challenging 100 mile route all of which followed the St.Oswald’s Way long distance trail through some of the finest landscapes and fascinating history of Northumberland. This Way marked path links the places associated with St.Oswald, the King of Northumbria in the early 7th Century, who played a major part in bringing Christianity to his people. From the Start at dawn at the stunning location of Holy Island the race will follow the St OSwald’s Way again in 2016 along the stunning Northumberland coast before heading inland across beautiful countryside to Hadrian’s Wall and Heavenfield with the race finally descending to finish at the village of Chollerford. The 50km and 100km races will have equally picturesque finish locations at the villages of Craster and Rothbury respectively.
